In pictures: Egypt's train disaster
Egyptian officials are investigating the circumstances that led to one of the worst rail disasters in the country's history.
At least 350 people were killed when a train from Cairo to Luxor caught fire.
Hours after the fire was extinguished, rescuers were still bringing out stretchers
One survivor called it "a tunnel of death"
The rail line linking Cairo with southern Egypt has been closed indefinitely
The train was carrying families back to their homes and villages for the five-day Eid al-Adha festival
Many people died jumping out the moving train to escape the fire
Security forces were on high alert in anticipation of an angry reaction from the victims' family members
